You do get a pretty good workout getting those anchor screws in but once it's in, it's as stable as a rock.

--I recently reviewed the TRX Force kit, but I also had to give my thoughts on the mount (my caring wife's gift).
--Easy set-up; put it in my unfinished basement and was using the TRX and mount in no time.
--I definitely like it over the door anchor. The door anchor is great, but the mount allows more range and intensity in my workouts.
--The biggest reason for the mount is that my daughter is learning how to open doors. I personally am not worried about the door anchor and my daughter, but my wife is a bit over-cautious (something about how my daughter's too young to read the sign on the door).
--So in other words, my wife's gift to me was kind of for herself--in order to eliminate one more potential danger.
--Either way, I love the mount and will continue to use it. Hopefully, one day my daughter might even get to use the TRX and mount (of course that depends on my wife).

I purchased this when I purchased my TRX based on the reviews. I tried the door anchor but I was hesitant about the strength of my interior door so I had my husband install the x-mount in our ceiling in the basement and 5 minutes later, I am on my way. I was suprised at how large it was - the pictures make it look small. It looks nice and I know my sister and her husband who are coming in a few days will look up and ask "What is that?"; which will open a can of worms, because I will have to pull out the TRX and have them give it a try!

I've been using TRX Suspension Training for 6 months now and it's just incredible. I've never had better workouts and training sessions. As a trainer I've used many products, nothing that comes close to TRX. Great piece of fitness engineering!

The mount is perfect. I have my mount on the ceiling and I have multiple clients use it. My small facility is all sheet rocked and I didnt have a squat station that I could hang the TRX bands. Now with the new X-Mount I can hang the TRX bands where ever.

Well first thing I have to say is that i am extreamly impressed with the TRS Straps they are one of the most versitial systems on the World market at this time. I am so excited that i have become a rep for TRX. The x mount is fantastic it is compact looks good on the wall and it is easy to set up on any surface wood or brick walls. It is great when it is raining and i need to do a workout or train a client. Keep up the fantastic work TRX and i look forward to training with Randy Frazer in 2009. Although the door anchor was great, it did limit some of the exercises and range - ordered this X-mount and installed on the basement ceiling - WOW what a difference - better range, more confidence and best workouts ever although TRX is a fantastic system anyway

I waited a while before I installed this to try to find the perfect place. Ended up being on a beam in the ceiling of my garage. 8 1/2 feet high. Perfect! I really like this much more than the door attachment.

The x-mount provides a secure mounting surface for the TRX that has the versatility to allow the TRX to be positioned in any direction. I have mine mounted on a beam in the center of my studio. It is fabulous, safe, and easy to use!
The only suggestion I have for improvement is to make the attachment 4-point instead of 2-point, and to include mounting hardward with it.

As a director of a Sports physical therapy clinic, I am always looking for top-of-the-line equipment that doesn't take up a lot of space. Having used and enjoyed the TRX at home, I decided to purchase one for our clinic. The X-Mount allows for us to have the TRX in the clinic while taking up the least amount of space possible. Great idea and fantastic product!!!

The mounting brackets are easy and acommodating! Possibly some instruction on most efficient mounting direction(s) might be helpful.

I bought the TRX and DVDs four months ago. Monthed the TRX in my garage and have been working-out on it three times weekly. I have gone through the 25 minute initial workout and have learned how to use progressions in each area through the Trainers DVD. Very satisfied and it has greatly helped my on-road cycling and golf. Not bad to find some real help at age 61.

I'm really happy with the x-mount. It took me about 5 minutes to install, and it's been completely problem free. The only issue I have is that I wish there was better guidance about where to place the x-mount. I've found that for a few exercises, the x-mount is in the wrong spot, and better guidance on placement would have prevented that.

Well made product. Sturdy. Durable.
TRX X-mount in my garage on the ceiling will be the best setup for me. I can mount it as high as I want and where there is adequate room to perform exercises.
The door mount just didn't feel secure enough on my interior doors; plus there wasn't enough room where my doors are located in my small home; plus I don't think it was near high enough. The door mount may work OK in someone else's home.
The TRX itself took some time getting used to. It is definitely a lot harder than it looks. It thoroughly works me out, maybe a little too well.

I installed an X Mount Anchor on the wall of my (finished) basement, in the area where we keep other exercise equipment. Rock solid placement into a stud means I can get a good workout and not worry about having to find a solid spot for my anchor point. My wife even agreed it is unobtrusive, which was a pleasant surprise. Now I find that when I travel and anchor my TRX Force somwhere else, I really notice the difference that the ideal/sturdy placement of the X Mount makes.
The only drawback I have found was already mentioned in another review - movement of the anchor straps can cause a squeaking sound on certain exercises, but I'm usually cranking up the tunes anyway.

Thank you very much for such a nice compliment for the TRX Suspension System.
I live in an apartment and using the TRX with the door mount everyday was a bit anoying.
Since receiving the TRX Mount I put it in the entrance of the door and it looks like a ornament.
Everyone has to do with it, asking what is this for. When I show them they go and buy one.
Keep it up guys.
