The TRX allows us to keep fit wherever we are | 10/29/2008 - by SB2(SWCC) Blue Jones from Special Boat Team 12 |
About a month ago on behalf of my team I ordered 11 TRX force training kits, and they have been a great hit. When I'm not at the Team I am an aspiring strength and conditioning coach and Crossfit trainer, and I can tell you that few training tools on earth can deliver as good of a conditioning modality in such a compact (and portable) unit. After integrating TRX training into our daily PT schedule I have received an unbelievable amount of good feedback from my team mates both at home and Down-range. Everyone wants one of their own!
In our line of work we often find ourselves in extremely austere conditions in the worst possible places. Fitness is what keeps us mission capable, and The TRX allows us to keep fit wherever we are. The product sells itself practically without my justifying its purchase to my superiors.
I think that everyone at my team should have one, and with that in mind I pitched the idea to my immediate superiors at PT this morning. I've sold a couple of them on the Idea of issuing a TRX to everyone in their basic load-out, but what I need in order to sell the idea all the way up the chain of command is exact dollar amounts.

    Better than expected | 10/11/2008 - by A. C. from Lansing, Mi |
When I bought the TRX, I was afraid it would not give me enough lower body exercises. Well, after only two weeks, I'm glad to say that's no longer a concern. The TRX is the best workout I've ever had. Plus it's so convenient to get a workout that I have no excuse not to get off my back side. THIS PRODUCT IS AWESOME.

Amazing Workouts - A must have product | 09/23/2008 - by John from Virginia |
I could not believe the results. As a Recon Marine and strength and conditioning coach I have seen and done a lot of different kinds of workouts. I must be able to preform at a very high levels. I was very skeptical when I first heard about this product, but the TRX exceeded my expectations. I was able to get a great workout that I noticed immediately. My strength shot up and I noticed a difference in how I looked in only a few weeks. A big deal for me since I have been training for years. The very fast adjustments to change the intensity can really give a demanding workout for any experience level.

   Old Soldier | 08/10/2008 - by SSG Rodgers from U. S. Army |
For us older soldiers who still want to train and maintain our fitness level the TRX is great. I never liked loading up and going to a gym so this makes things a lot easier. I can do two workouts a day if I choose and do the workouts outside or if the weather is bad I do them in the house or hotel room or if I am deployed I do the workout anywhere I set up. After completeing the exercises I do 15 minutes of simple static and balistic stretching.
Thanks SSG Rodgers U.S. Army INF (currently deployed)

    WOW | 08/08/2008 - by Travis from CA |
I just got mine in the mail today and I had been waiting anxiously for it to arrive, and the moment it did I immediately opened it and the first thing I noticed was how sturdy everything was including the nifty bag that it comes with. once I had it out of the box I ran up stairs to try it out, the DVD was very helpful and it was fairly easy to follow (if I took the time to watch the exercise demos on the DVD it would have been easier) I found this to be very fun and entertaining to use, and I think it will prove to be an indispensable tool in anyone's quest for greater levels of fitness

The Ideal piece of Excersise Equipment | 07/28/2008 - by Lance Medina from Torrington CT |
I am 17 years old and hope to someday(Lord Willing) to become a United States Navy Seal. I have for a while been doing the whole pushup, pullup routine for a while. Though vital for the PST it does get old after a few months of the same routing. My Uncle while I visited him in Maryland(retired Navy) gave me the TRX force kit. He bought it at a Special Forces show and decided to give it to me to try to enhance my performance. I just started using the TRX and man I stand amazed at how simple, portable and effective it is. I believe that adding this piece of equipment to your fitness "toolbox" is a must for anyone eho wants more than a showboat workout. I am going to college this year and already plan on taking the TRX with me to my dorm room. I just can't beleve how well it works. There are no gimics or sales pitches that appeal as much as a product that does what it is suppose to and the TRX does that and so much more.

TRX - Suspension Trainer Course | 06/26/2008 - by Sandy Burlison from England |
I love TRX! I flew from England to Chicago Dec 2007 to take the one day TRX Trainer Course. Yes I'm a mad Limey! It was fantastic! I got to meet lots of lovely Americans, had a real hoot, learned so much about good form and couldn't believe the variety of exercises that can be performed. I am a Personal Trainer and I love to introduce people to TRX. After an accident,in the military, which left me housebound and getting around in a wheelchair for eleven and a half years, it is so much fun to do and is helping me to get stronger day by day. To get myself back to health I set myself a programme of Navy Seal, Royal Marine Commando and Tae-Bo workouts. It took me three years but with TRX, I can now show a clean pair of heels to the youngsters (I'm 47). Use TRX, never give in and never quit. I may never be the best trainer in the world but with TRX I will be the best I can be. Good luck everyone.

One of the coolest workout items I have ever used. Great design, great idea. Thanks!

Go to the Park and have some Fun | 03/27/2008 - by Dr Ken Lounsbury from San Diego, California |
I love to work out, my wife loves to work out... but we both are tired of the gym. I was looking for something to help develop functional strength not so much cosmetic body sculpting. My wife is a fitness fanatic and wants us to find ways to train together (though we cycle, yoga, and run together). Since she is a small woman, at the gym we are constantly putting on and taking off weights... ugh for me since I am the one doing it (even though it helps develop functional strength so this statement is a bit ironic) Well, the TRX system allows us to go to the park, set up on a tree in the sun and depending on the angle, vary the difficulty so both of us get a very good workout in about 30 minutes. It is a completely different feeling than the gym. More of an accessory muscle blitz... the big muscles get a workout too, but the supporting muscles are not isolated out of the movement. The equipment is built to last, the videos are easy to follow. The book is tough so it is ok to bring it with us without ruining it. The hardest part is people are always stopping us to ask us questions... And I like that with some imagination and thought, we can make up our own excercises to target different areas. I am a big fan of the TRX system, it is so simple and so easy. Instead of dreading the 20 minute journey to the dank gym, we enjoy a fun day in the park. Of course it helps to live in Southern California.

This is gonna hurt! | 03/27/2008 - by wayne from C CO 141 BSB |
I've been using the Force TRX consistantly and I can honestly say I have worked muscles I didn't know even existed. The results speak for themselves. I used to ride bulls and developed low-back spasms; they still exist but less frequent. Now, as the XO for C CO 141BSB, my hope is to integrate this simple (yet exhausting) system into our PT regimen. We have soldiers that have difficulties in finding time and equipment to work out with when we deploy. The Force TRX should prompt them to keep-up on their workouts when stuck out in the middle of nowhere. The system is easy to use and the exercises work as they claim. This is one workout I actually look foward to. I don't have to have a gym membership, I can hook it up anywhere (a moving HUMVEE is not wise by the way), it is extremely portable, it's tough, and I get odd stares form "on-lookers". The system is wonderful.

Trx Force Trainer | 03/27/2008 - by PH from Singapore |
TRX is a brilliant invention: 1) it is Portable; 2) Works on a good range of exercises; 3)It is best for the Core stability. It is like a thousand dollars gym set in 1 piece of 4lb equipment. It burns every time I workout; at home, at work & at playground with my kids. I start with leg and squat exercises for warm-ups, followed by arm and finishes with core training - torso rotation, suspended crunch, body saw.
I can design my own exercises.

Best piece of kit | 03/26/2008 - by Rich from midwest police officer |
I have used many types of fitness gear over the years and the TRX Force Trainer is by far the best. If you want to amp up your conditioning the TRX is peerless. It will spotlight your weak points and bring your functional fitness to new levels. The workouts are short, intense and progressive. If you wear body armor or hump heavy loads for a living, check out the TRX Force Trainer, you won't be disappointed and your back will thank you.

As good as advertised | 03/13/2008 - by Dave from US |
I purchased one of these about 2 months ago and have been using it steadily. It really does a great job of replacing the gym entirely. I was surprised that I kept my size and strength and actually added some bulk in certain areas. The leg workouts are really challenging and the upper body exercises are great. Depending on the reps/rest periods you can your heart going a quite a bit. I was happy to find that my wife (who is recovering from 6 months bed rest after multiple ankle surgeries) could use the TRX simply by changing the angle of the exercise. Some of the more intense exercises do require balance, but they are generally managable. The workout in the booklet is great and can be easily modified to accomodate different variations. I haven't explored all of the online information but the booklet alone gives you a wide variety of exercises. The door anchor works well and can be used on either side of the door (depending on how it opens) but is probably best used on the "inside" of the door. Everything actually does all fit in a small bag and can be easily transported. I've recommended it to my friends.

amazing | 03/11/2008 - by James Ouimet from Sudbury, ontario, canada |
TRX has changed the way I look and train. After 18 years of competitve hockey and hard training, I decided to find something I can do anywhere. Whithout knowing the product I still took the chance on buying it. Wow it does what they say and much more. Better then lifting weights.
Thankyou

Mother of 2 loves the TRX | 02/18/2008 - by Jennifer Steele from Safety Harbor, Florida |
I just wanted to let you know that I absolutely LOVE the TRX system. My husband who is retired from US Army Special Forces, Green was introduced to the TRX from a co-worker, retired SEAL, Blue. My husband does a lot of traveling and tries to get his daily work out in but sometimes finds it difficult to find the time. After he had used his friends TRX a few times he asked me to order one for him - and he loves it. He loves the flexibility to use it anywhere as well as its portability and the all over workout he gets. He takes it on trips with him, as well as takes it to the gym when he is home. Everyone asks him about it at the gym because they have not seen anything like it. He is probably one of your biggest spokespersons. He has even turn on his world champion Muay Thai trainer to the TRX system. Also, my chiropractor is ordering one for he and his wife as a Christmas gift. I am 40 years old and have a 5 month old and a 19 month old. I have always tried to stay fit but was never consistent with my work outs. My first pregnancy I gained 50 lbs and still had about 15 lbs to go when I got pregnant again. So you can imagine that by the time I had my daughter, I was a little over weight. I began weight training with a CPT at my gym which I have done periodically over the years. My husband suggested that I try the TRX with him. I was hesitant because I am not the most coordinated person. However, from the first time I did the work out - I cannot wait to get back to the gym and do it again. I have never in my life been so eager to get to the gym for my work out. The TRX works my whole body in less than one hour. All muscles are sore - pecs, tris, quads, glutes, obliques, lats, - head to toe. But what is so great about my sore muscles is that the soreness is not unbearable like when I use free weights. It is a good sore muscle feeling. I feel like I have accomplished a productive work out. I feel strong. And I am seeing results in just a few weeks. It is awesome. We love it - thank you!

TRX- Suspension Trainer Course Rocks | 02/14/2008 - by Emerald from Franklin Tennesse |
I am a home fitness user, not a trainer. I wanted to learn everything I could about the TRX. I'm taking the trainer on an extended trip, and did not really have enough time to spend multiple sessions with a trainer. I flew from Nashville to Philadelphia for the the class, and even with the extra travel expense, I left the class feeling it was well worth it.
You will learn more in one day than you can imagine, and have fun doing it. You will learn everything that can be done with a TRX as well as from your classmates, most of whom were personal trainers. The other advantage of the course over videos is that you learn faster, and learn good form from the start.

For all ages | 01/31/2008 - by Fitness Anywhere Customer from US |
I'm 64 and in reasonably good shape. I was taken by surprise on how well and durable the TRX is constructed. I love the military DVD along with the exercise journal which are of extremely high quality. I've tried all the exercises and in many cases have to modify to account for my level of fitness. I've been a big fan of body weight exercises for some time, but the suspension aspect puts a new dimension on many of the standards, like push ups and body rows. There are also a host of exercises that are new to me. It's also clear that with the exercises while you may be challenging many different muscles, it is core all the time. I clearly feel it at the end of my exercise sessions. Highly recommended and should last a good long time.

the thing is legit | 12/09/2007 - by Duncan from US |
I first started using the TRX with my trainer over at Equinox Fitness. At first, I was a bit skeptical and the exercises seemed a little uncanny. However, the thing works the body all over. I loved it so much, I got my own for home use. The only thing preventing the 5 stars is that the DVD it comes with and other various videos I've seen are a little thin on substance. Not everyone has a trainer to show all the different exercises and how to use it. Otherwise, the quality and diversity of the product is outstanding.
